Cookie notice under POPIA
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This notice explains how Samorwa Villages (Fiswana Investments) uses cookies and similar technologies on this Building Management Platform. It should be read with our privacy notice (POPIA).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. We also use browser local storage for preferences such as your cookie choices. Session tokens for sign-in are stored in httpOnly cookies that JavaScript on the page cannot read (which helps reduce theft via XSS).
2. How we use cookies
3. Cookies we set today
Panic and first-aid flows may request your device's GPS. That is not a cookie; it is location data processed under the privacy notice when you allow the browser prompt.
4. Your choices
On your first visit, a banner lets you Accept all, keep Essential only, or Customise optional categories. Essential cookies are required for sign-in and cannot be switched off while you use the platform.
You can clear site data in your browser to reset the choice and see the banner again, or use the button below:
Browser settings can also block cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and many resident/security features from working.
5. POPIA
Cookie and local-storage data that identifies you (or can be linked to your account) is personal information under POPIA. We process essential cookies to perform our security and service obligations. Optional cookies rely on your consent. For rights, retention, and complaints, see the privacy notice.
